WELCOME
I started my career in tiles with terra-cotta over 30 years ago and it is still one of my favourite flooring products. Stone comes a close second with all its natural variation, and types. These are challenging materials, but the rewards are great.
Porcelain has taken over from ceramics and with good reason. They are tough and strong and can be made into very large formats. There are porcelain tiles that look like stone or wood, a whole myriad of colours and textures. An added bonus is that they are now made with a high percentage of recycled material.
A lot of the installation nowadays is taken up with preparation. Whether it is levelling, fixing of inuslation boards, anti-fracture membranes, electric UFH, tanking etc. You can look at some of the progress of Projects on this page.

Based in the Highlands of Scotland I have over 30 years experience in the tiling industry. Working for one of the first UK terracotta and stone importers in the 1980’s
I quickly moved to the fixing and installation of tiles. Experience on some large and prestigious domestic projects have allowed me to gather a large amount of knowledge of how to perform installations on underfloor heating (electric and wet systems), wooden and suspended floors, in wet rooms and all types of walls with a wide range of tile types: mosaics, ceramics, porcelain, hand-made, terra-cotta, stone (limestone and marble) and slate.
